Gaustatoppen:  About 1.5 hours away is the impressive Gaustatoppen, a mountain with breathtaking views of much of Norway. Take the cable car to the top or choose one of the hiking trails for an active day in nature.

The Telemark Canal: A historic canal that was considered the “eighth wonder of the world” when it was built. The Telemark Canal is 105 kilometers long and includes 18 locks, including the largest lock at Vrangfoss with a head of 23 meters. Cruise past picturesque villages and admire the beautiful scenery this canal traverses.

Heddal Stave Church: Norway's largest stave church, located in Heddal, offers a fascinating insight into Norwegian architecture and culture. The church is an impressive structure and worth a visit for anyone who loves history and old architectural styles.
